Life Lately – What I’ve Been up to

A new month means a fresh start! Going into March I had so many new ideas and goals running through my head. (As if I didn’t have enough going on already LOL). But going into March I just felt ready to get into action and start making things happen.

I have been DREAMING about warmer weather (I know I can’t be the only one!) and all the things I plan on doing this spring and summer. We added some chickens to our family last spring and I am thinking I want to add one more small bunch to our ladies! That will probably be a next weekend task (note to self – add it to the calendar). I am excited to start jumping into gardening this year. I’ve been trying to learn/try something new every few months, so that’s my spring time plan. So if you have any tips or tricks for gardening (flowers & vegetables) let me know! I have a small raised bed on its way that I plan on planting some things that Theo and the other kids can help me take care of and have a small greenhouse that I got for my birthday last year that I plan on filling up! Excited, but truly starting with very little knowledge. Thank goodness for google and all the gardeners on instagram!

February seemed to just fly by! Our month started out with the little guy and I getting sick. Luckily it didn’t last long for either of us, Easton did end up with another ear infection so it’s looking like tubes are in his future.

Even though the month seemed to fly right by, we filled it with lots of fun and enjoyed every minute we could. Theo and I have been working on some letter writing, I finally got around to doing one of the puzzles I got for Christmas, and we enjoyed the snow we had while it lasted! We had February break so we had a house full of kiddos for a week so that week was full of games, blanket forts, giggles, and crafts!

For how busy our month was I feel proud of myself for how I did on the goals I had set.
Personal: 1. read 20 minutes – not sure I read that long everyday, but I definitely read everyday! 2. Read 5 books – got 3 read, 3. Closing shift – did not get to this every night, but the nights I did helped my next day start SO much smoother! 4. Wake-up time 6am – did so good at this! Mornings have never been my favorite, but I can truly say I am loving the routine I have created for my mornings!
Health: moved my body pretty regularly, but not everyday. Need to work on finding something that keeps my interest, which has been hard for me to do since having Easton. Did pretty well on drinking my water. Got all the steps in every day lol. Meditating did not happen.

Creative: had so much fun creating this month and coming up with some new ideas for the next few months!
Financial: try again… lol

Really enjoyed The Watchers Trilogy this month! It was a series I randomly came across on my kindle and once I got into it, it was hard to put down. They were all pretty quick reads!

Going into March these are all my currents! I’m excited for this month and things I have planned! This will be a month of growth in many ways and being unapologetically me! 🫶🏼
