30 Day Daily Self Care Series

Anyone else come up with all these plans and new ideas while laying in bed trying to fall asleep? I know I can’t be the only one. Well this was one of those ideas.

At the beginning of the year i decided that “Create” would be my word of the year and I have been working on coming up with new and fun ways for me to create. Showing up on here and on different social media platforms have been two that I have been super focused on, and I have really enjoyed having them as creative outlets. There are so many different things I want to try out and if I am honest all the ideas start coming and it gets a bit overwhelming. One thing that I have been super big on since becoming a mom 4 years ago was remembering to take time for me and making sure I am pouring into me. So while I was laying in bed the other night I thought of the idea of doing a series on instagram called “Daily Self Care”. Since self care is something I try to incorporate everyday, I figured it wouldn’t be anything that was adding much more to my plate. It would just give me some accountability to show up for me and create some fun reels while doing it.

So the next day I got started. I came up with a list of 30 different self care ideas (remember self care isn’t just bubble bathes and face masks!), typed them up, printed them, cut them out, and put them all in a cup to pick on from daily. As I am writing this I am on day 4 (today I picked “do a puzzle”) and the great part is I can do it however I like. The one and only thing that I am not allowing is skipping a day of doing the self care. Miss a day of recording? No problem. Skip making a reel? That is a-okay. But I HAVE to make sure I show up for me for those 30 days. So far I have missed making two reels, but I have still showed up and poured into me.


Here are the self care ideas I came up with that I enjoy – a few I included more than once because they are some of my favorite ways to pour into myself.

  3. Face Mask
  4. Do a Craft
  5. Organize Closet
  6. Take a Shower
  7. Do Makeup
  8. Have an Iced Coffee
  9. Yoga
  10. Dance
  11. Watch a new show on Netflix
  12. Make a new playlist
  13. Listen to a Podcast
  14. Journal
  15. Read
  16. Get a Massage
  17. Go for a drive
  18. Try something new
  19. Make a vision board
  20. Bake something
  21. Take yourself on a day date
  22. Meditate
  23. 10 min walk (included twice)
  24. Paint
  25. Do a puzzle (included twice)
  26. Create a bucket list for the year
  27. Watch a movie

I challenge you to try something similar out. Even if you don’t share on social media, create a self care challenge for yourself. It could be doing different things for a certain number of days, it could be making sure you do some kind of personal development (reading, podcast, etc.) everyday fir a month, anything that allows you to take time for you everyday! The longer you do it, it quicker it will just become a habit and you will do it without even thinking about it! Find an accountability partner, plan your “challenge”, and get started!
