Hey all! Here is a little bit about me and my blog…
I am Megan. I am 28 years old, and I live in a small town in Upstate New York. I live with my husband – Joe, two little boys – Theo and Easton, three fur babies – Oreo, Luna, and Topaz.
My husband and I got married on May 25, 2019, and had our little guy on March 4, 2020! Although everything in our life has happened quite quickly… I wouldn’t have it any other way!
Shortly after I graduated high school I volunteered at the elementary school in my home town and I fell in love with the atmosphere! Teaching was what I wanted to do and there was no doubt about it. I got my foot in the door by accepting a position working as a one-on-one aide. A few years later I became a teacher’s aide, and while pregnant with Theo I was able to cover the position of a teacher’s assistant for a few months as well as covering for the first-grade teacher for a while. It was an amazing year of growth for me and I loved everything I learned and took from the different positions I worked in.
Then we had Theo and life completely changed. Not only did it change because of our addition, but it also changed because of Covid. I was on maternity leave, so I didn’t have to worry about going anywhere or leaving the baby with anyone. Although I had thought that teaching was what I wanted to do, being able to be home all day with our baby made me think twice about working out of the home.
I created this blog shortly after he was born, but it has grown and changed so much already. I have grown and changed so much since then. I now work full-time from home as a childcare person in an area where it is so hard to find.
If you had told me two years ago that this is what my life was going to look like, I would have called you crazy. But I am so thankful that life has worked out the way it has and that I am able to do the things I love each and every day.
I am excited to have you here on this journey with me. I don’t know where this journey will take us, but I look forward to sharing it all with you. The good, the bad, and all the things in between.
